Pros

My direct managers are incredibly supportive of work-life balance. The company keeps salaries a bit higher than the local market. Ethics-driven company.

Cons

I would like to see more upper management on regular rounds on the floor. We need a bedside ladder pay program in order to retain our more experienced nurses.

Pros

Great Co-Workers, great leadership, and I really enjoy the work culture.

Cons

12 hour shifts are hard but I get my steps in.

Pros

Staff typically works well together despite the cons. You’re collectively keeping your head above water to survive.

Cons

Pay, staffing are garbage. Other systems pay considerably more. Think of private equity firms without the inevitable bankruptcy. Focus is on profits, not staff or patients. ER is ran on a skeleton crew with no incentive to pickup extra shifts. Lots of pressure to “help the team” which is code for work harder for less.
