Pros

-Great coworkers -You can earn up to 80-100$/hr after tips if you manage your clientele -Easy job

Cons

-Turnover rate is extremely high amongst management and nursing staff -Constantly double or even triple booked with the shortest lunch break legally allowed (during your coworkers lunch break you are expected to pick up their appointments as well, this means up to 5-6 clients in a hour) -Constantly changing store hours and lengthening shift. -Not nearly enough space for employees to enjoy a private lunch, or actually pierce clients comfortably when they bring multiple guests -Nurses had to push back management to get safer masking protocols. -Pay is not equitable amongst nursing staff -Training on how to pierce is ample, training on the cleaning product ingredients (that the needle piercer won’t even use) is nonexistent leaving you to have to google what those chemicals are in front of your client. Piercing products used are cheap/plastic, anyone can find them on Amazon (actually had a client mention this to me which is how I found out). -Allow aggressive customers to be insulting and don’t back up staff. “Customer (paying or not) is always right” attitude -Care more about influencers than actual staff -Expect a lot from part time/per diem employees who aren’t even provided benefits (expected to arrive at studio to pick things up “or else”) Basically they’re a start up business who cares way more about profits than it does their employees or clients really

Pros

Rowan is truly a special place to work. It’s rare to find a company that blends clinical standards, meaningful human connection, and a genuine sense of celebration the way Rowan does. The mission is clear, and leadership consistently reinforces a culture where safety, quality, and experience go hand in hand. There’s a strong emphasis on training and development—whether you’re new or experienced, you’re supported with clear standards, hands-on learning, and access to knowledgeable leaders who are always willing to guide and elevate you. The Nurse Leadership Team is incredibly collaborative and passionate, and there’s a real investment in making sure field teams feel confident and set up for success. What stands out most is the people. The culture is positive, fast-paced, and rooted in accountability and care. There’s a shared understanding that we’re not just providing a service—we’re creating lasting experiences for our customers. Growth is happening quickly, which creates exciting opportunities to evolve, contribute, and make an impact. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of growth opportunities they have to offer nurses.

Cons

As with any rapidly growing company, things evolve quickly. Priorities and processes may shift as the business continues to scale, which requires flexibility and adaptability. That said, leadership does a strong job of communicating changes and aligning teams to move forward together.
