A chaotic circus run by power-hungry - Nurse Rowan Employee Review

Pros

You'll learn how much dysfunction you can tolerate before finally saying, enough.

Cons

Working at this company felt like being trapped in a circus run by arrogant upper management who were more focused on flexing their power than actually micromanaging and placing blame than supporting the team. The bonus structure? Completely unreliable. The moment we hit our goals, they'd suddenly change the rules to avoid paying out what was promised. CULTURE IS TOXIC. Some of the nurses walked around like they were royalty, full of entitlement, while the rest of us were doing the real work. And somehow, the company kept throwing high salaries at people who had no idea what they were doing. We were so understaffed and overworked that even finding time to use the bathroom became a luxury. It's terrible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who values respect, stability, or sanity.

Pros

Rowan is truly a special place to work. It’s rare to find a company that blends clinical standards, meaningful human connection, and a genuine sense of celebration the way Rowan does. The mission is clear, and leadership consistently reinforces a culture where safety, quality, and experience go hand in hand. There’s a strong emphasis on training and development—whether you’re new or experienced, you’re supported with clear standards, hands-on learning, and access to knowledgeable leaders who are always willing to guide and elevate you. The Nurse Leadership Team is incredibly collaborative and passionate, and there’s a real investment in making sure field teams feel confident and set up for success. What stands out most is the people. The culture is positive, fast-paced, and rooted in accountability and care. There’s a shared understanding that we’re not just providing a service—we’re creating lasting experiences for our customers. Growth is happening quickly, which creates exciting opportunities to evolve, contribute, and make an impact. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of growth opportunities they have to offer nurses.

Cons

As with any rapidly growing company, things evolve quickly. Priorities and processes may shift as the business continues to scale, which requires flexibility and adaptability. That said, leadership does a strong job of communicating changes and aligning teams to move forward together.
