Pros
There are some AMAZING people working here. Incredibly talented, hard working, and genuinely very considerate and great to work with. Unlimited PTO is a nice plus and flexible working hours help make a pretty high workload more manageable. Lots of room for you to build due to lack of structure/processes.
Cons
Abysmal executive leadership pursuing near-sighted, hyper-aggressive growth goals while ignoring long-term sustainability. Unqualified people being given management positions they do not have the education or experience to be in. Clear favoritism towards select groups of employees, especially those with a consulting background. Very high turnover rates. Easy to burnout due to volume of work. Multiple hasty unprofessional layoffs with almost no communication to either those remaining or those affected. Pay is low and they will happily fire experienced employees immediately before bonus eligibility in order to dump the workload on another employee hired later and at a lower title to save a buck. Promotions suspended nearly across the board while many employees have met and exceeded the scope of their position without being properly rewarded or recognized. Do not work here if you are concerned about finances, chances are you could make more elsewhere for the same amount of work. Limited career advancement opportunities with many people doing the work of 2-3 people, outside of their area of expertise, but denied any sort of title bump. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in my team at Ruggable. I came in with high hopes and the explicit promise of rapid advancement at a fun and dynamic company. By the end it was reduced to a shell of its former self with everyone I knew unhappy, overworked, and any semblance of "culture" shattered by the uniquely awful way they went about the multiple layoffs of the last ~6 months.
