Cons
Rumpke is a transportation/operations - focused company. They do not necessarily value sales people as much as drivers and operations staff. I was told more than once that drivers are hard to find, but salespeople are not. After being there 5+ years, I saw compensation plans change annually, always to the detriment of the sales people. Also, as a family-owned and operated company, career path is very limited. There are only so many high level jobs at Rumpke, and family will always get promoted first, regardless of performance. This is a good entry level sales company. Get your experience here, and move on. You will only go so far, and make so much money at Rumpke, because they believe sales people are replaceable.
