-$25 to start off is fair. But pay raise is terrible. Especially when you’ve proven yourself to be a great worker. Rumpke is MULTI BILLION $ revenue and drivers are underpaid. Should easily be making $30/hr for the amount of physical work required ON TOP of driving.
- No sick time (if you call off you don’t get paid AND get a point).
- Have to work the Saturday after holidays and cannot use any PTO during a holiday week. So good luck spending time with family or going out of town for holidays.
- Often made to help other routes. So even if you bust your a** to get your route done so you can get off at a decent time, you’ll probably have to go help another route. So NEVER a guaranteed time off. (If you have something legit going on and notify ahead of time they are usually good at letting you go).
- Trucks constantly having issues and mechanics suck.
- I mean it’s literally TRASH so just a dirty job.
