Pros

security, once out of the new employee probation it is near impossible to be fired, even more so if you are a paramedic or an attractive female

Cons

employees are viewed as disposable. sleezy corporate practices. lots of nepotism. no room for advancement unless you are an attractive and easy woman, or you "party" with management

Pros

Straightforward with their expectations of you leading up and going into the academy.

Cons

There is no room for error. If you’re not in good physical condition and think you’ll improve while in the academy you’re wrong. You need to already be in good shape or they will run you ragged for it. It’s either you’re ready or you’re not and if you’re not then they will make it as miserable as possible to test you and either you quit or they fire you.
