Pros

The EMS industry is a great place to be if you work for the right people and have the right people in lower levels of management. R/M lacks the right people and/or atmosphere.

Cons

The employees are not motivated and disrespectful of the management staff. Middle level management flaws and lack of training accompanied by low level of compensation and benefits.

Pros

Straightforward with their expectations of you leading up and going into the academy.

Cons

There is no room for error. If you’re not in good physical condition and think you’ll improve while in the academy you’re wrong. You need to already be in good shape or they will run you ragged for it. It’s either you’re ready or you’re not and if you’re not then they will make it as miserable as possible to test you and either you quit or they fire you.
