Every aspect of this company is about profit, which is detrimental to public safety and personal safety/well being. The cheapest equipment, out-dated equipment, lowest salary which results in lack of new hires and revolving door of employees. The company creates attrition, by mandating the only employees that stay because a lack of staffing. This creates moral issues and numerous other problems with family and personal life. The only priority is staying on contract with the airport they serve (CMH) and by putting any warm body they can in a seat, which they don’t and have received warnings from the airport about contract breaches. There are many more cons but I will leave it at the main point. They undercut other private companies behind the back of the employees during contract negotiations so they have no choice but to sign and take the given offer, because yes the end result is profit. The company will then give employees the run around of why they can’t pay more and promise more pay if they can find a way. Then give a 2% bonus. After being told if you(employees) can research and can show salary ranges in the immediate area we will consider matching. In depth research and number crunching was done and paramedics were $30,000 under the median average for central Ohio. $50,000 behind the high average. Yet the employees are meant to pick up the lack of staff and take mandatory overtime.
