Pros

Always hiring, patient contact experience, generally easy going.

Cons

poor pay, long hours, somewhat inflexible schedule, old equipment and ambos, no body seems to care due to being burned out and angry. When you get hired they tell you that on occasion you may have to stay longer then the 12 hour shift if they are super swamped or something like that. Turns out its like 75% of the time you don't get off on time. And they don't care.

Pros

Straightforward with their expectations of you leading up and going into the academy.

Cons

There is no room for error. If you’re not in good physical condition and think you’ll improve while in the academy you’re wrong. You need to already be in good shape or they will run you ragged for it. It’s either you’re ready or you’re not and if you’re not then they will make it as miserable as possible to test you and either you quit or they fire you.
