There is no room for error. If you’re not in good physical condition and think you’ll improve while in the academy you’re wrong. You need to already be in good shape or they will run you ragged for it. It’s either you’re ready or you’re not and if you’re not then they will make it as miserable as possible to test you and either you quit or they fire you.

Little oversight on daily activities.

You're just a number to management. The place is a revolving door. They don't care about retaining good employees because they know that new hires are lined up out the door waiting to do the job for cheaper than the last guy. Don't try to call in if you're sick because you will be made to feel bad and looked down on.
