Company is Mid, Job is Fine - Retail Associate SAS Retail Services Employee Review

Pros

Flexible hours, morning to afternoon shifts, understanding management.

Cons

Mediocre pay, varying seasonal hours, terrible raises; I use this job as part-time supplemental income to a household, and it's just okay for that. It keeps me on the same schedule as my partner, and gives us a little extra money, and gives me something to do during the day. Wouldn't particularly recommend this to someone trying to support themselves.

Pros

• You work Mon-Thurs. Weekends are always free • You’re entitled to two breaks, a 30 minute unpaid break and a 15 minute paid break.

Cons

• This job will destroy your body. Lifting, kneeling, squatting all day for minimum wage is not sustainable. Nobody should have to work so hard for breadcrumbs in return. • Management will try to rush you to get the project done, which increases your risk of injury and products falling/breaking open • The hours are vary wildly depending on the project assigned. Sometimes you work 4-5 hours, sometimes closer to 9-10. Don’t bother making an appointment on your work day, because you probably won’t make it • Gas reimbursement is a joke, about a couple of dollars, and will not cover the full expense of your travel • Step stools can be hard to come by. You may have to stand on a milk crate. Cross your fingers that it doesn’t break
