Pros

Independent work. Work as hard as you wish most team leads won't send you home. As long as you don't do drugs in the hotel or physically assault someone it's super unlikely you'll loose your job. Per diem and mileage is nice when you actually get it. The gas reimbursement covers it when gas is cheaper and you drive a car you can't really devalue any lower. Alot of the people are really nice,

Cons

Had us work in asbestos remodel without any ppe. Raymond from kroger Tried to have me do pallet jack of asbestos throw aways, i did one then saw it was asbestos and asked, he confirmed it was and I walked off to do the easy shelf displays. This happened in IL. They will pay you inconsistently. They have cut down on benefits and overtime even though the companies stock has increased over 200% since I bought in. I know longer work there, but I kept my stock till I made the 40$ they shorted me back. I always get my money back. I knew since they were willing to fight me for hours on the agreed upon distance eligible for per diem because they didn't want to give Me my 40$. Also the team leads only make a couple dollars an hour more, and theres people that have been there 6+ years that really want to be one. They will expliot these ex retail workers desire for a management title for there resume and a few more bucks an hour to work especially hard. Just fo this job thats salaried exempt but legally probably shouldn't be. I knew that they would surely make there shareholders proud. They did. I sold some of my shares to get my initial investment and 40$ back. I kept the rest because a soulless company like this that can warp decent people into trying to swindle there low level workers into doing hazardous and questionable practices for money will surely be profitable.

Pros

• You work Mon-Thurs. Weekends are always free • You’re entitled to two breaks, a 30 minute unpaid break and a 15 minute paid break.

Cons

• This job will destroy your body. Lifting, kneeling, squatting all day for minimum wage is not sustainable. Nobody should have to work so hard for breadcrumbs in return. • Management will try to rush you to get the project done, which increases your risk of injury and products falling/breaking open • The hours are vary wildly depending on the project assigned. Sometimes you work 4-5 hours, sometimes closer to 9-10. Don’t bother making an appointment on your work day, because you probably won’t make it • Gas reimbursement is a joke, about a couple of dollars, and will not cover the full expense of your travel • Step stools can be hard to come by. You may have to stand on a milk crate. Cross your fingers that it doesn’t break
