Pros

Easy money just not enough to live on in Silicon Valley

Cons

Hold employees especially management to impossible expectations. Very competitive between territories and definitely not level playing field. Some territories range from 30 to almost 80 stores but every store is graded based on the same standards which is not fair. For reps they expect you to complete all work but without overtime. For example say you travel 2 hours to cover a store call you get there and the store call time is 7 and a half hours. We'll overtime is not allowed so you cut store call to 5 hours then your (which is posted weekly for all to view) goes down because you did not spend the whole time in the store. Which is ridiculous. I have been jumping hoops for this company over 2 years and never once have I received any kind of acknowledgement or appreciation. Let me make a mistake though and they put me up on the chopping block!!! If I did not love my boss so much I would have been long gone. Taking this promotion was a mistake, sure I make more but get less hours and expected to do more work with absolutely no kind of set schedule. Not to mention the ridiculous travel they expect not just from me but my supervisor as well. It is really easy to sit in the office and decide what is doable and most cost efficient for the company but out here in the real world it doesn't work as they think it does. It is just so discouraging especially since this job has consumed my entire life and for what? To constantly go unrecognized and treated as if I am expendable

Pros

• You work Mon-Thurs. Weekends are always free • You’re entitled to two breaks, a 30 minute unpaid break and a 15 minute paid break.

Cons

• This job will destroy your body. Lifting, kneeling, squatting all day for minimum wage is not sustainable. Nobody should have to work so hard for breadcrumbs in return. • Management will try to rush you to get the project done, which increases your risk of injury and products falling/breaking open • The hours are vary wildly depending on the project assigned. Sometimes you work 4-5 hours, sometimes closer to 9-10. Don’t bother making an appointment on your work day, because you probably won’t make it • Gas reimbursement is a joke, about a couple of dollars, and will not cover the full expense of your travel • Step stools can be hard to come by. You may have to stand on a milk crate. Cross your fingers that it doesn’t break
