Pros
Good pay / overall good company / good benefits.
Cons
There are constant hurdles that management at the top hands down to the sales managers to enforce to the sales representatives without any real field work themselves. For instance you need to see or call all budgeted accounts once a quarter. For many this is 600 to 700 accounts some that aren't even still in existence due to an outdated database. All 'touches" must be entered into Saleforce and mapped in a mapping program. This needs to be done in the first week of the quarter so your entire quarter is 'mapped' out. This is just CRAZY and almost impossible to do. The legwork to do this in the computer is so time consuming. Not to mention you need to enter 48 opportunities a month. Follow up on PO # requests. Accounts receiving meetings. You need to check in with the branch manager at the end of the day to be physically present for your time on the clock. The micro managements is unlike anything I've ever encountered in my whole working career.
