Pros
Nothing Pro Whatsoever. Do not need to say more.
Cons
Everything, pay not worth the work you put into the job less than standard. Will not always compensate, If you travel across state lines expect to go over D.O.T. Hours and will do everything in their power to not pay for a room for drivers. So your pretty much screwed... if you get a good safety citation at checkpoints it’s worth $50 and you won’t always get it paid. Professional Drivers look elsewhere Unless you like being treated poorly and overworked and driving faulty equipment constantly lights hanging out engine lights on constantly on.. Breakdowns.. need I say more? expect write ups after reporting true statements on vehicles for exposing equipment defects that aren’t compliant with D.O.T. Standards.. managers are a joke never on the drivers side due to possible retaliation from company as a whole. Most co workers are rude and disrespectful even when you have more experience behind the wheel than they do. Just a constant headache.. a lot of stress. Expect you to sale products that customers would rather not buy because pricing. But if you don’t sale anything it counts as substandard performance against you.. expect a write up for that too.. go figure... when you start here you have a notion that your doing something great for a company that is painted to look extravagant until you get to your first day on the job and the customer says “ yeah I know all about Safety-Kleen They never on time way too expensive And what happened to our last driver” then you say “what do you mean?” Then customer “he didn’t last either? What’s going on you guys Can’t keep workers at all it seems like?” And your reply is “really?” And then over time you figure out why.... Has very bad reputation and you here it daily from customers they don’t let you live it down even though you only want the best For yourself. Creates very low moral on a daily basis. Also be prepared for everyone to be off including management on the same day but somehow you didn’t get the memo.... all in all crappy place to work pay is on average $12.00 hr if you don’t make sales (which is rare to make sales) expect to only make $39,000 Annual even though you have enough experience to pull in $59,000 At any other employer. Don’t believe recruiters when you call for info they say you’ll make $56,000 To $70,000 But once you meet people who have been with company for 15-20years they say “the most I make is $49,000“ and “that’s on a good year not all the time”. So anyone looking into a career here don’t waste your time it’s a huge mistake. Search elsewhere and keep this as a last resort...
