Pros
1. Some smart people work here. Some truly do try to make things better. Some have a good sense of humor which helps a lot. 2. Free coffee / hot drinks 3. Good benefits - 401K, medical, vision, flex spending, etc. 4. Remote work for those who can. 5. Some effort is made to provide perks such as a tailgate cookout, holiday party, baking contests, pumpkin carving, etc.
Cons
1. Lack of good communication - from directors & managers throughout. Management acts as though they're the only ones with thinking skills - nobody else knows better. Input from others is sidelined at best, or flat out ignored. 2. There is a good ol' boy vibe - leaders/supervisors are pre-selected and groomed based on their likability vs. their talent, thus leading to an undesirable working environment. 3. HR has too much input in personnel movement between departments or shifts. Once a person is hired it should be up to their leadership team to promote or move them as the opportunity arises. 4. It's like everyone walks around with blinders on. They can't or won't consider other objectives that aren't a specific a focus within their work area. 5. Everyone has their own agenda. Forget what anyone else needs to get done. 6. Very reactive environment. There is constant troubleshooting due to crises.
