Pros

- $ to be made if you are buddy - buddy with the manager making the floor assignments - Good food and a consistent kitchen staff - Great location that has a large number of tourists/visitors on business willing to spend - Great staff of servers, bartenders, hostesses, and bus boys who, though undervalued by management, put $ in there pockets during end of the year bonuses.

Cons

There are a large number of cons to working at this establishment, but I will limit my list for everyone's sake. - General manager who is only good at cutting costs and crunching numbers. He is not respected by anyone from dishwashers to middle management, but instead feared. Everyone is treated as expendable and replaceable by the GM. I know of previous complaints to HR regarding him getting physical with waitstaff and other incidents, but many things go unreported because employees fear that they will lose their jobs. - Hit or miss $. On a 100 degree + summer day, they will assign servers outside (no one sits outside and the server is stuck "running hot food" and helping others. All the while making $2.13 an hour. Expectations of servers making $2.13 are to dust, sweep, clean, etc. Also, during a beautiful day/night if you are assigned inside you will make no money. This goes back to the buddy - buddy thing with management. - Limited to 3 table sections, unless buddy - buddy with managers. - Management will seldom recognize anything that you do right, but instead will constantly speak of what need to be done better or differently. - Difficult to get time off because of "set schedules" If you don't find someone to cover your shift, you must work. There is no vacation/request off situations. They are evil enough that I couldn't even get off for my own college graduation. - You will be at the mercy of this money hungry corporation... I recommend finding one of the few non-corporate restaurants on the river.

Pros

Busy most days of the week. Structured and Organzied. Teammates are older than young 20's and therefore professional. Expo/ "Shelfer" on busy nights. Used to be $$$ after shift now on Branch card the day after. The menu is easy enough. Teammates do (and have to) help each other out.

Cons

High Rate of Server Turn Around. Long 1st spiel. Tray Service, Heavy mugs. I don't carry more than 10 drinks cause of weight. Very Hot Trays. You have to take two items with a tray. Ranking system, which means its competitive/a grind to reach a higher rank to ensure more tables. Micromanaging at every turn. 5pm and 5:30pm in times suck and you may be cut after two rotations. 2 closers so they get the last hour of tables and most money. They control your schedule, and you can't ask for a change until much later if they are willing, 1 week off a year.
