Pros
The people are fun to work with and there is almost always something in the break room to snack on if and lunch is occasionally provided. Learned patience with many members and learned people, workers and members alike, can be hard to deal with. Room for upward mobility so long as you show your not in school and are not looking for other jobs. It seems that if they know you are in school they will not progress you higher than the position you started in but still get that 2% raise each year. A lot of members that shop there consistently are friends with several cashiers and management and are on good terms with them making the work place seem more friendly and open. This particular location is becoming more diverse each month.
Cons
Management always seems to have something other than their job to do when called for. Unless the situation is deemed urgent they will respond in their own time. This is not due to their negligence but to a small management staff. But when there are enough they seem to take breaks together and leave the floor open and unattended longer than the allotted break or lunch times. And you can give them the hours you can work but they will still schedule you during those times and attempt to write you up when you don't call in or show up. And now they have notes in the break room to recheck schedules that are one week out letting you know that you won't be able to do what you planned because for almost the third week in a row now your schedule has been changed. So they are not giving 2 week schedules anymore, they are only giving one week notices with the second week up for change.
