Sam's Club has great associates and great benefits, however, it needs better opportunities in the field. - Assistant Manager Sam's Club Employee Review

Pros

Feels like a family, good benefits. Sam's Club values your family life in relation to your work life, which is great. I have a great group of associates who I work with, and I appreciate the relationships that exist.

Cons

However, promotions aren't necessarily given out fairly. You work 45-50 hours minimum per week. Limited positions within the field to move up, and a lot of competitiion amongst other assistant managers.

Pros

The pay is good and so are the benefits.

Cons

This is the worst job I have ever had. I made it 3 weeks before leaving and never coming back. They had me working 12 hour shifts when I was scheduled for 8 but couldn’t leave because I wasn’t finished with the large workload they piled on me. There was absolutely no teamwork, our manager just abandoned us so they could go hang out with their friends. There was no organization, no structure. 100% sure my manager never even knew my name. They had us breaking down pallets just to restack them. There are no consequences for management at all, they can basically do whatever they want and nobody is gonna do anything to stop it. If they're short they throw you into different departments with no training.
