Pros

With Wal-Mart, there is great job security. The health benefits are good when compared to similar industries.

Cons

Need to rotate team leaders and managers inside the Club every 12 months to keep leadership fresh and to force leaders to grow outside there "box". Need to allow managers to take personal days when needed. Managers have to pretend to be sick when they need a personal day! Why would a company treat their management in this manner? After the extended long hours managers work, dedication and social sacrifice, managers should be treated better. You would think that a company that has been around as long as Sam's Club (25+ years) would have this figured out by now!

Pros

The pay is good and so are the benefits.

Cons

This is the worst job I have ever had. I made it 3 weeks before leaving and never coming back. They had me working 12 hour shifts when I was scheduled for 8 but couldn’t leave because I wasn’t finished with the large workload they piled on me. There was absolutely no teamwork, our manager just abandoned us so they could go hang out with their friends. There was no organization, no structure. 100% sure my manager never even knew my name. They had us breaking down pallets just to restack them. There are no consequences for management at all, they can basically do whatever they want and nobody is gonna do anything to stop it. If they're short they throw you into different departments with no training.
