Pros

Samsara is growing rapidly as a company and there are plenty opportunities in engineering to show your talent. Great Leadership: very focused, talented and experienced people. Remote work, for those who prefer this type of work (although office is also available). Great compensation (in PL: b2b or employment + stock + bonuses). Great value proposition from the product perspective. Fantastic product team and many interesting product initiatives on the roadmaps. You can really have an impact that is measurable. It is important that you will have a lot of independence and ownership, that shows how much trust employees get from the Leadership in Samsara. If you join Samsara you will have opportunities to visit top notch office in London for sure. Finally, tech stack is very interesting and Samsara is open for people willing to learn new things. Most of the roles are full stack: AWS Backend in Go, Web + Mobile (React Native).

Cons

Mostly fully remote, so "office people" might struggle in Poland (at least at the moment). Samsara is not yet known in Poland, but already a very strong brand in US, Canada, Mexico and also getting a lot of traction in EU + UK. If you do not like on-call duties from time to time (only for more senior engineering roles). As most product and senior leadership is in US West Coast, there are sometimes afternoon zoom calls (usual for this kind of setup of the company)

Thank you for sharing your experience on the Poland Engineering team. It is great to hear that you are growing in your technical skills and are provided the right tools to do so by leadership. Our engineers work on an array of products, and we are lucky to have such talented people on our teams.

Pros

Innovative product, constantly growing the platform

Cons

Compensation doesn’t feel competitive for the workload and expectations of the role. Frequent annual changes—including territory realignments, account books, verticalization, and quota adjustments—create unnecessary disruption and make it difficult to build long-term customer relationships and pipeline. The company has grown rapidly, but account distribution hasn’t always kept pace with headcount, leaving many reps competing for limited opportunity and making OTE difficult to achieve consistently. The Team Lead role is one of the biggest pain points. Team Leads are expected to operate like frontline managers without the compensation or authority that comes with a management position. They carry a fully ramped quota while also traveling, mentoring new hires, leading office hours, answering rep questions, supporting onboarding, and taking on enablement responsibilities. While these leadership opportunities can be rewarding, they often come at the expense of selling time and make it significantly harder to hit quota.
