Worst professional experience due to serious ethical and management concerns. - Attorney Sanabria & Associates Employee Review

Pros

Easy to get in, because no one would be crazy enough to work there. They pray for the unexperienced, because they will think it's normal to work unethically. There are really no Pros, just to get some experience working in an unethical firm.

Cons

The firm is aware of its operational problems but has repeatedly failed to address them. The structure and expectations placed on attorneys make it extremely difficult to succeed, and even those who meet performance standards often face termination without clear justification. Management routinely makes promises during recruitment that are later changed or not honored. Salaries have been reduced, bonuses and reimbursements have gone unpaid, and in some instances earned wages have been withheld after resignation or termination. The firm steals from its employers and from its clients. Clients were asked to pay substantial fees for services that were not completed, and employees were sometimes not paid agreed compensation. The work environment is intimidating. Attorneys who raise ethical concerns about case handling or firm practices are threatened with discipline or termination. Because of the firm’s disorganization and administrative failures, attorneys are regularly exposed to ethical complaints from clients and directly from judges, despite acting in good faith and within their professional duties.

We strongly disagree with the allegations made in this review. Sanabria & Associates is committed to ethical legal practice, compliance with professional obligations, and fair compensation practices. Assertions that the firm engages in theft, unethical conduct, or retaliation are categorically false and do not reflect our operations or values. Our practice is fast-paced and demanding, and all attorneys are expected to meet professional, ethical, and performance standards consistent with client representation and litigation responsibilities. Not every role is the right fir for every individual, and personnel decisions are made based on business needs, professionalism, performance, and adherence to firm expectations. We remain committed to improving operations, supporting our staff, and providing quality representation to our clients.

Pros

I’m giving two stars solely because of the people you work alongside. My coworkers were genuinely amazing, hardworking, and supportive of one another, and that’s honestly the best part of this job.

Cons

Unfortunately, aside from the coworkers, the work environment is consistently disorganized and often feels like a hot mess. Employees are regularly transferred cases that are already in chaos—files that have not been touched in years, are incomplete, or lack proper documentation. Clients are understandably frustrated and angry because work has not been done, yet new staff are expected to take over these cases and fix years of neglect with little guidance, time, or support from management. The workload placed on each employee is overwhelming, and there is a clear lack of structure and accountability from leadership. If you care about doing things the right way and providing quality work to clients, this environment makes it extremely difficult. On top of that, salaried employees are routinely expected to work well over 40 hours a week, even though salaries are clearly based on a standard 40-hour workweek. Burnout is common, and work-life balance is not respected.

Thank you for your feedback. While we respect that every employee may have a different experience, it is important to recognize that meeting business and client needs is a priority for every organization since we do not live in a communist country. In a fast-paced professional environment, employees are expected to manage challenging workloads, adapt to changing circumstances, and perform within the scope of their roles and expertise. Like many growing firms, we continuously work to improve our processes, training, and operational efficiency. However, characterizing the organization as unconcerned with employees or clients is inaccurate. Our team remains committed to serving clients effectively while maintaining professional standards and accountability across all levels of the firm. We appreciate the contributions of employees who approach challenges with professionalism, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented mindset. We remain focused on building a strong team capable of meeting both client expectations and business demands.
