Pros

The best reason to work at Sartorius is to learn their products and meet a lot of qualified professionals. This will help you continue growing your knowledge in whatever field you decide to work in.

Cons

The company is currently (as of May 2023) going through a large shake-up. This is occurring at a corporate level but it's much more apparent at the local one (Yauco). Senior management changed recently and is causing a lot of instability within the site. A lot of changes are currently ongoing, including large layoffs and re-structuring. This new Senior Management, knowingly or unknowingly, seem to be creating a work culture of "Us vs Them". The site is being divided into the newly installed Management vs the already established employees.

Dear former colleague, thank you for taking the time to share your impression of the current working atmosphere in Yauco here. We forwarded your feedback internally and hope that you had the opportunity talk about your observations with your manager and the HR team before you moved on. In addition, we trust that you shared your feedback in the last employee survey. As you will know, the results help us as company to identify internal needs for action and to initiate change. Thanks again for your open words and much success for your future. Best Regards Corporate Communications

Pros

Strong technical expertise within the organization. Exposure to a broad range of customers and applications.

Cons

My experience at this company was disappointing due to a lack of transparency, consistency, and fairness in enforcement of company policy. Compensation for employees in the same or similar roles varied significantly, with decisions often appearing to be based on individual manager discretion rather than clear, objective criteria. I also observed what appeared to be gender bias in pay decisions. Additionally, there were employees who contributed very little while others carried a disproportionate workload. This was extremely demotivating for those who worked hard, as there appeared to be little recognition or reward for taking on additional responsibility and delivering results.

Dear former colleague, thank you for sharing your experience here. Your feedback on policy enforcement, potential gender bias, and uneven workload describes conditions that are not in line with what we aim for as an employer. What we can’t tell from your review is whether you raised these concerns internally during your time with us – for example with your manager, HR, or through our employee survey. If you haven’t done so, please feel free to provide more context via email at employer.communications@sartorius.com. We will forward your feedback to the appropriate internal contacts. Important note: If you have experienced or witnessed discrimination based on gender at Sartorius, please report this directly to our Compliance Team either by email at compliance@sartorius.com or by anonymously submitting a report via the Whistleblower Portal: https://www.bkms-system.net/bkwebanon/report/clientInfo?cin=20sarto15.
