Pros

Decent pay. Good benefits. Great products.

Cons

Oh, where do I even begin? Working at Sartorius Corporation felt like navigating a corporate maze designed by the most inept architects. The management's incompetence reached levels I didn't think were humanly possible. Sales targets became a mythical concept, as orders and sales data were twisted and contorted to fit their political agenda. It was like witnessing a masterclass in the art of making achievements irrelevant and unattainable. And let's not even get started on the annual performance bonuses. Human resources seemed to have a knack for making promises they had no intention of keeping. It's mind-boggling how a corporation of such high reputation could fall so short in the basic decency of compensating its employees fairly. Salary delays became a twisted norm, as if the concept of timely payment had been thrown out the window for some bizarre reason. But the crown jewel of this corporate circus was the general apathy that permeated the organization. Half the company seemed to have perfected the art of doing absolutely nothing. It was a spectacle to behold, watching productivity take a nosedive while indifference soared to new heights. It's hard to fathom how a company of this caliber could foster such an atmosphere of lethargy and lack of motivation. In hindsight, surviving Sartorius Corporation was an achievement in itself. It's a place where dreams of performance bonuses go to die, and where the term "work ethic" seems like a foreign concept. If I had to sum it up, I'd say my time there was a masterclass in navigating chaos and a front-row seat to witness the slow erosion of professionalism. Cheers to one year of dodging corporate bullets and surviving the Sartorius saga!

Pros

Working from home full time

Cons

Endless conveyor belt of ad-hoc tasks with no notice. Consistently operates on a last-minute basis which is alarming in medicine, not to mention a company that is over 100 years old. When managers put in 2 weeks' notice, they're often asked to leave that day. What message does upper management think that sends to team members? They're probably too arrogant to care. Unsurprisingly, turnover is extremely high. Multiple people per team have left in the last year. But the hiring freeze continues, and you're expected to keep up with the same conveyor belt. And with budget cuts you can't outsource work anymore, so take on 3X the work with no bonus this year. And the campaign strategies are bad. Even when the work is planned, 95% is nothing you're proud of. After all, this company's idea of "brand" is to only use the color yellow And To Capitalize Every Word Ever... what do you expect. At the last all-hands when asked about potential layoffs, the CEO said, "I don't know where this fantasy is coming from that there will be layoffs. But I cannot say that there will never be large layoffs." How reassuring... for the rate of turnover, that is. Wish he'd spend as much time on employee morale as he does buying his suits. PS: Look how short the positive reviews are. Either they're fake or farmed from naive students at the end of their internships. Grain of salt recommended.

Dear colleague, thanks for taking the time it took you to write this down. It’s hard to read that this is what you think about Sartorius as a workplace at this time. We have forwarded your feedback internally and kindly ask you to address these topics again yourself with your manager and the HR team. A few words on the place we are in as a company right now: After the extraordinary growth of the last three years, we are now in a phase of normalization. We can see that this change and the accompanying measures, such as the mentioned cost optimization, are difficult for many to comprehend. Nevertheless, we see this time as an opportunity to consolidate processes, to involve the thousands of new colleagues, who have joined in the last two years, even more intensively and to intensify the integration of the acquired companies. This should ultimately lead to better processes and thus impact some of your observations positively. Thank you already today for your contribution to this. There is another point you mentioned that we would like to comment on. You mention that you feel like fluctuation is high. In fact, the fluctuation rate in 2022 was 9.2% - which is a healthy level . Thanks again for the open words and your contribution. Best regards Sartorius Corporate Communications

Pros

Some amazing technology (specifically Intellicyt is amazing/incredible technology)

Cons

When Sartorius acquired ForteBio, they kept some of the upper management as well as those working in the field. While most managers have taken the time to understand the technology acquired, it is not the same in verse. I remember asking my direction manager for feedback on one of my presentations and he said "I cannot comment on any technical aspects but I thought it was good" Every single instrument I demo’d, I sold. I proceeded to be let go, for nothing of technical or performance basis because that would have required my manager to have spent time understanding the technology his subordinates were responsible for. I had COVID, and was also having some additional serious health issues leading to me unable to perform fine motor skills. Because of my age, I was an easy target for management to throw under the bus, especially when I was sick and not expecting it. Even if my manager did have the knowledge and experience required, I never had any chance with the lack of support from my manager
