When Sartorius acquired ForteBio, they kept some of the upper management as well as those working in the field. While most managers have taken the time to understand the technology acquired, it is not the same in verse. I remember asking my direction manager for feedback on one of my presentations and he said "I cannot comment on any technical aspects but I thought it was good" Every single instrument I demo’d, I sold. I proceeded to be let go, for nothing of technical or performance basis because that would have required my manager to have spent time understanding the technology his subordinates were responsible for. I had COVID, and was also having some additional serious health issues leading to me unable to perform fine motor skills. Because of my age, I was an easy target for management to throw under the bus, especially when I was sick and not expecting it. Even if my manager did have the knowledge and experience required, I never had any chance with the lack of support from my manager
