Pros

If you are lucky enough to report to one of the good managers, then the job can be enjoyable. Decent salaries for some folks.

Cons

Few opportunities for growth. Company always acts like it is on the verge of bankruptcy. No celebrations. Constant environment of knowing that another layoff is just around the corner. Very few good managers. HDHP option only for healthcare.

High performers have been laid off based on market/biz unit goals. Outsourcing/derisking is a thing lately.

Fast paced workplace. Lots of data to master SQL and data analysis

Cons

Toxic AF. Everybody seems to lower to 60% effort because the risk of getting tired is immense. If you give 100% and have to take a break and someone sees, the big boss will yell with a grumpy neurotic southern old man voice. Trust me, it is very unpleasant. If you are male, don't get hopes up for a promotion if there are any eligible girls. If it isn't done on purpose, then the general culture of cattiness and gossip will accomplish it anyway.
