Pros
In the past two years, Searchspring has made a lot of positive changes. I'm glad that I've been around to see them in action. Pre-acquisition, I can understand why there were lower ratings. People were overworked, unpaid, and there was very little recognition given to top performers. I was personally considering leaving the company for a different opportunity. Last year, we were acquired by Scaleworks and they brought in a new executive team. This team has been paramount in providing structure and recognition for employees across the organization. I feel as though my opinions are respected and my ideas are well-received. I'm able to support really cool customers and have a team that gives their all to provide a top-notch experience for those same customers. We're big enough to have a lot of the benefits that you'd expect from a larger organization (great health insurance, personal development stipend, etc.) but we're small enough that you're able to get visibility across the organization fairly easily. If you're willing to step-up and contribute to the team outside of your job responsibilities, there is room for promotions within the organization. They don't promote people just to do internal promotions, but if you're working your butt off you will be noticed and rewarded.
Cons
I'd love to have a 401 match . Other than that, we're growing and growing fast. Change can scare people. If it scares you, this probably isn't the right place for you.
