Your impact makes a difference. As a small team, the input you give has a ripple effect from your work, to the work of other departments, and finally to our customers. Having the opportunity to put in hard work and to see how that work affects the company is mesmerizing. I came from a massive 1000+ employee company, so this is a refreshing change of pace. I can and do make a difference just from what I accomplish in my day to day work. The environment is very collaborative among teams and departments. Everyone has a "do it now" mindset, which makes overcoming challenges easier to handle. Everyone hops in to tackle issues head on without hesitation. We simply (at least from what I have experienced) do not have the "that's not my job" or "X department handles that" kind of attitude. We really do work as a team and we strive for inclusivity. Anyone from a Jr, Sr, Exec level role can help define business processes or offer insight into how to do things better.
