Pros

The facilities are cool. Really good food for cheap. Free drinks. Free gym. Lots of remote opportunity. The workload isn't terrible. Good work life balance.

Cons

IT here is not what it used to be. When I started they didn't really lay people off. The recently consolidated eyeglass businesses and laid 19 people off. One of the guys was there for 19 years. It's just like any other corporate place now. Sure it's good if you need a position. They won't have any sense of loyalty to you when it comes down to it. Keep your skills updated and jump when something better comes along. The new health insurance is Vitori. It takes weeks to get your old doctor approved, if at all. It's not as good as Select Health was. Really, dealing with Vitori takes so much time. It's exhausting and confusing. They say call early call often. I was more confused getting off the phone than before I called.

Pros

1‑800 Contacts / SeekWell is an excellent place to work. There is something genuinely special about the culture—you can feel it. It starts with what our original founder, Jonathan, established from the beginning: a people‑first mindset. One of the biggest strengths of working here is our strong company values and an employee experience that is intentionally well designed. We emphasize flexibility and focus on autonomy, mastery, and purpose, giving people the space and trust to do their best work. I have no intention of ever leaving. It really is that good here.

Cons

This is not a greenfield startup—there is real complexity and accountability. We value ideal team players - which mean if people aren't here to work - if they aren't hungry, humble, and smart they may not fit in.
