Pros
The non-management staff. The members and residents are wonderful, the facility is beautiful. The team work among non-management staff is generally fantastic. We pull together and help each other "despite" the lack of support we receive from management.
Cons
Over all, I was attracted to SLC because of their philosophy of personalized care and service. After being there for a year, I see a company that is floundering. Frequently, the "image" of personalized service is built on the backs of overworked, overstressed staff. We are expected to provide outstanding service, but the pay is lackluster, the staff is overtasked, and management does not trust in the staff. I want so much for them to be the company that they have the potential to be, but they have a very, very long hill to climb.
