1) you have 10 minutes to 800 your 20 year old ambulance that's falling apart. 2) dispatchers are just terrible and snotty. They think they're your boss and even if you explain to them in detail what's happening they will still not understand. I know all of them by name because I've had to talk to a supervisor about all of them. 3) pay is HORRIBLE. and they wonder why they have such a high turnover rate. 4) a lot of supervisors are burnt out butt heads who will treat you like you're an idiot (and I was liked by many at senior care). 5) they don't take you seriously as trained emts and only care about you doing as many calls as possible so they can make money so they constantly rush you, barely giving you enough time to pee let alone eat something. I can go on but I think you get the point. I wasted a year and a half of my life at this company and was promised 2 promotions that NEVER HAPPENED. Also the most I ever made was 11.50 because I was full time. I never got my anual raise.
