Pros

>80% of the company are in their early- to mid-20s; this is nice for a new college graduate who may also be in their early- to mid-20s.

Cons

Sequence claims they have unlimited PTO, but that is a lie. You will be consistently chastised for taking time off, even if its for a funeral.

At Sequence, we deeply value our team members’ dedication and strive to create a culture built on trust and mutual respect. We want to clarify that our time off policy is not “unlimited PTO,” but rather a flexible time off policy designed to recognize and reward our employees’ hard work by allowing them to request time off as they see fit, without being restricted by a fixed number of vacation or sick days. Our flexible time off approach is intentional-it reflects two core aspects of our culture: trust in each other and a commitment to work-life balance. We believe that empowering employees to manage their own time off leads to greater well-being and productivity. Requests for time off are always reviewed by managers to ensure business needs are met, but we encourage everyone to take the time they need, whether for personal matters, rest, or family emergencies. If any team member feels uncomfortable requesting time off or experiences inconsistent application of the policy, we strongly encourage open dialogue with HR or leadership so we can address these issues directly. Our goal is to foster an environment where everyone feels supported in balancing their professional and personal lives.

Pros

Nice office, but you will never be there.

Cons

Run while you can. You can tell a lot from a business based on how many people have worked there a long time, or if when people have left, do they speak well of it. Well, no former employee speaks kindly of this place. Take a look at linkedin.. this company has been around for over 20 years but there's not a soul there that's been there longer than 8 to 9. They have a video online of their 20 year anniversary.. none of the people getting the awards in the video are there any more. It's a toxic environment that has struggled to make a profit. They have burned bridges with their best people and the industry. They sell college students on CQV being exciting. It's not. It's work. And they try to trap them under vastly worded contracts to confuse them and make them think they are stuck. There are much better places to work in this industry. There's a reason you don't hear their name at sites any more.. they have become irrelevant. If I was the person who just purchased this company I would back out immediately. You are getting nothing but debt.
