Pros

The company is hiring. If you are in college or just out of college they will hire you. There are a few folks who are really knowledgeable and very helpful - mostly in lower level sales and marketing. These select few are really the meaning behind the "culture of awesome". The Sales Enablement team will give you training in the beginning. You will get a new computer when you start. They understand if you have a family issue and are flexible there.

Cons

SevOne stands for Severity One - a very scary term for IT professionals. Try to sell when you open with that name. Ug. If you are not from the ITSM industry, you will not succeed in a sales role at this company. The company says it has a culture of 'awesome' but that is simply a way to convince people to work here - it's not real. The company says it wants to go public in two years but the numbers are not there. Benefits are ok, but you will not get stock options. Bain Capital's investment made sure of that. There is a new CEO from Bain Capital and that means that the company is still in transition. Look out for continued layoffs with a continued hiring push to please wall street. This is very costly for a start-up in costs and employee moral. The 80/20 rule really applies here; i.e. only 20% of the sales team is making 80% of the revenue. Sales enablement is a joke. The product is buggy and it's hard to be competitive to prove ROI. If you join as a sales person this year, you will not make commission this year.
