Pros

Believing in what you do and what the company you represent does has always been important to me and Shields does not fall short here. This company is not only an industry leader but continues to be innovative, looking at strategic growth opportunities for health system while improving patient care and outcomes and positively impacting patient lives. The culture of this company is that of a family run business, they respect and promote work life balance and encourage you to keep what's important at the forefront, including your family and personal life. I have not doubted my decision to join this team at any point over the past 18months

Cons

I've experienced my share of growing pains with a rapidly growing company but at Shields they promote new ideas, process improvement and provide a platform to communicate. With rapid growth comes continuous change, if you do not adapt well to change, you may struggle

Not sure The only thing I can think of is the benefits and that’s it which is a way to get employees in

Cons

The workplace culture feels very toxic and unprofessional. Instead of a collaborative healthcare environment, it often feels more like being back in high school, with cliques, gossip, favoritism, and constant “mean girl” energy., I experienced an atmosphere where coworkers seem more interested in talking about people than helping them succeed. The environment is draining, stressful, and makes it difficult to focus on patient care and professional growth. Management does little to improve the situation. Concerns are not addressed appropriately, and the culture seems to be accepted rather than corrected. Rather than feeling valued and supported, I feel micromanaged, judged, and isolated. Healthcare is already stressful enough without having to deal with workplace drama every day. If you are considering working here, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about team dynamics, management support, employee turnover, and workplace culture before accepting a position.
