Shields Health Solutions have given me the opportunity to grow and adapt in an ever changing healthcare field. Shields emphasizes the extreme importance of patient care and kindness in our daily interactions. Shields treats its employees with kindness, compassion, and equality. Shields is always growing and changing to meet the needs of its hospital systems and provides its employees with an abundance of resources to tackle the changing environment. I must also point out the tremendous job Shields did during the COVID pandemic to make sure its employees were safe and had all the necessary tools to succeed in such an uncertain time. Given the option to work from home, a team of managers who were always there for support, and even a few phones calls from upper management just checking in to see how I was doing spoke volumes towards how Shields treats its employees. Shields has a generous compensation program, 401K match, and offers employees great health insurance.
Cons
I have been with Shields for 16 months now and can honestly say I am very happy. If I had to pick some cons for working for Shields it would be the weekly/daily calls with management, daily commute - its 106 miles combined both ways, and my own uncomfortability with doing telephonic outreach in an effort to onboard new patients to our service.
