Pros

-Can move up quickly if you keep your mouth shut and do all the dirty work. -TJX really does care about their teams and encourages everyone to get along and be supportive of one another. -If you work in a good store, they will do anything they can to help and support all employees.

Cons

-Too many stores too fast, districts are being realigned and district managers are inconsistent with expectations. -If you don't work in the northeast it is difficult to work be recognized and given opportunities for advancement to home office or out of store roles -Toxic credit culture being created with pressure from corporate to perform like TJMaxx at 1/3 the volume. Some stores have begun to cheat and disregard ethics to meet expectations and it was being overlooked. -Diversity and inclusion is lacking in practice, they preach, but most of corporate is still a bunch of white dudes. -Internal promotion pay is WELL BELOW market rate that they pay for externals

Pros

Flexible scheduling, small employee discount, provided snacks and drinks in the break room

Cons

Part time employees are often only scheduled one shift a week despite being available for more. Shifts are short, so this means you might only get 5 hours per week. Often, I'd only have up to 20 hours per week at most. Coworkers frequently call out, and despite not scheduling their employees much, the store isn't staffed enough.
