Pros
Sittercity has one of the best groups of coworkers anyone could ask for. If you need information from another department, you are more than welcome to engage. The collaboration between departments is solid. The other nice perks are lunch credit on Wednesdays and flexible PTO.
Cons
Unfortunately, the new management and merger with Bright Horizons brought negative changes to employees. From the terrible healthcare plans to abysmal compensation, Sittercity is no longer a competitor for attracting top talent. Upper management is dismissive and unempathetic to the questions and concerns of employees. When asked questions about important topics and suggestions, it's met with a prickly response. The Chief of People safeguards problematic upper management individuals and uses victim-blaming to suppress valid critiques. They have become incompetent and hostile to the people they are to protect. DEI has become a corporate scheme. People are asked to commit extra time and work for an important cause and compensation would be provided for “experience”. There are passionate people about DEI, but these changes have made it unsustainable. These changes made it very clear that BH, Chief of People, and the HR team do not believe the time and work are valued. The company is hiring quickly to "be out with the old (employees), and in with the new". It is very clear who is favored in the company. Employees with valuable knowledge of the systems are disregarded and viewed as "replaceable". In short, Sittercity was on the right track, but new management has derailed the company. I can no longer recommend Sittercity as a place to work.
