Pros
The job is simple and can be picked up relatively easily. If you work on a Sunday then your hourly wage is increased by $3.00 which is nice. You get a store discount card for 10% off everything except alcohol. After working here a while you get pretty good at throwing objects from one hand to the other as you ring up groceries.
Cons
The job can be very monotonous and you may spend entire shifts standing at the same cash register. Customers can sometimes be very rude to you. The job can sometimes be physically demanding, requiring some heavy lifting and cart collecting.
