Cons

Lowest pay. All employees are "part time" regardless of how many hours they work unless they are management. California employment laws regarding PTO and sick leave are ignored and employees are not given sick leave pay and f you call HR your hours are cut as punishment. And HR does not enforce California employment laws either. Maybe, they think since this is a Mexican Corp., Smart and Final does not have to comply with US and California labor laws. Never a good word, but you work hard---like slaves. No bonuses, no raises, no rules as to reviews and raises. And the manager is hardly every at work. He shows up at 10:00 am, if he shows up at all, and then always leaves by 4---a few days per week. And his bonus is increased by his decreasing employees pay---which they do on a regular basis by cutting hours.

Pros

It was whatever. It was a pretty okay place to work until Chedraui came in and got cheap. Glad I left.
