Pros
Good Place for a starting job. Great employees, great Key Carriers depending on where you are. Also a good place to learn how things work to use in the future career.
Cons
Within 2 years of working at Smart And Final I've held 10 positions and have gotten 7 raises. I started from $8 an hour and ended with $13.80 an hour. $13.80 an hour may seem a lot but for a closing manager was not worth it because of all the duties and responsibilities that I was put through. Closing five days week for 40 hours a week, counting money receiving the truck, restocking the floor, working departments, cashier, doing orders if needed, sending orders, working on liquor and wine, checking items/products if it's up to date, working on unfinished load from load crew, and doing books. for what cause? You don't get benefits till you work there for at least 5 years. your considered as part time not full time even if you work 40 hours. I don'trecommend this as a career job. Use it to learn things and use it for the future.
