Pros
I started as a Strategic Account Executive a few months ago. The interview process was typical-tech-thorough -- five rounds. I left a bad boss at another software company and found a great leader here. People | Comp | Company Employees at Smartsheet are A players. Everyone I've interacted with has both the intellectual aptitude and work-ethic to work at any company of their choosing. I find it a privilege to work amongst this group of 3000+. The compensation packages are great in sales, and appear to be above-industry across the board. I have a large base salary, and an equivalent variable component. In sales, we call this an OTE (On-Target Earnings. There are also RSU packages (NYSE: SMAR), the ability to participate in the ESPP, a stipend or two, and a 401K match. If you equate comp to how a company values it's people, the packages here speak rather clearly. The company is growing revenue 15-20% after achieving $1B in ARR this past FY. We also just announced a $150M stock buyback and are generating Free Cash Flow around $50M a quarter. If none of that makes sense to you or means anything to you, which it should, it just means the company is financial stable. We're not burning cash, and we're in a large Carnival-sized boat that can weather a lot of storms. This is important when the L word (layoffs) starts hitting CNBC during downtowns in the economy.
Cons
I'm not just writing this because I know PR and HR scour over these reviews - I really don't have any yet. We're completely remote so finding that "community" is tough but there's a ton of Slack groups and a likelihood of employees in {insert city here} so it's not Smartsheet-specific.
