Pros

They have a very nice breakroom -- it's a full kitchen with an oven range and everything. You can make a real meal in that breakroom rather than just eating a sandwich. The work-life balance (at least in my dept) was fine as well.

Cons

SSR is downsizing faster than a gastric bypass patient. It's a very unstable company right now -- people are jumping ship left and right before it sinks. I expect to hear news of a buyout or merger, if not an all-out bankruptcy any day. If you are looking for long-term employment and/or advancement opportunities, this is not the place for you. Also, their health benefits aren't that great (not horrible, but definitely not good), their 401K match is dismal (they'll match 25% of whatever you put in -- most companies match 100% of the first 5 or 6%), and their technology is slightly better than non-existent.

Pros

Every individual I work with is personally invested in their work and our collective success. As an ESOP we personally benefit when the company does well financially. Management is invested in you personally, and will help you develop a growth plan that aligns with your individual goals and career plans. We have a hybrid schedule, flexibility when it comes to personal appointments, great benefits, and bonuses. This is the first job i've had where i didn't feel like just a number on a spreadsheet to senior leadership, the CEO meets with every new employee and seems genuinely interested in getting to know you as a person.

Cons

It's a fast paced environment, but you will never be asked to meet a deadline your manager isn't willing to meet themselves or meet with you.
