Pros
-Its a 24/7 call center, so if you're looking for flexible hours, this is a good place. (especially if you're in school) -Time off requests are almost always approved with a 2 week notice. -Very little face to face interaction with management (plus for me). Almost all communication is done through instant message. -You are not required to have PTO accumulated to ask for time off. -The office has wifi (if you can get someone to give you the info) -Direct deposit occurs weekly (either every Thursday or Friday) -Every extra queue learned adds an extra $1 to your current ROP. -OT is often available -When volume is slow, they will ask the desk if anyone would like to go home early (without pay of course)
Cons
-Only 8 hours of PTO earned per 3 months. They all expire after 12 months. -Its a job, that's it. Dont go looking for a career here. There are people who have been with the company 5+ years and have yet to be moved over to Fujitsu as a permanent employee. -When volume is consistently slow over a period of time, they fire people in masses. The first people to go are those with the most attendance incidents, regardless of performance, seriously. -Health benefits are next to none -Management is hardly involved in growing their employees -For the first 3 months, you are a contact employee and federal taxes are not with held. After 3 months, HR then considers hiring you as a permanent employee with SolCam and you can fill out a W4 form. HR is kind of clueless and forgets to do this, so keep up with the process so you dont owe Uncle Sam anything at the end of the year! -Micromanagement environment due to the statistics and metrics of a call center -Even if youre a minute late, this counts as an attendance incident.
