Pros

Good benefits for employees and flexibility with work hours.

Cons

There is no guidance or career advancement interest from anyone, specifically from HR and Accounting. There is a huge disconnect from leadership and their teams specifically coming from these two departments. Most people are not professional. They speak their mind in front of leadership and among teammates when the situation could be handled in private and leadership does not bother to solve issues or stand up to do their job. If the CEO focused on hiring the right people starting with HR and restructured VP’s and managers, he would probably make it a better place to work. The fact that the company does not invest into attracting top talent and retaining their employees is a red flag. Overall, leadership in Finance, HR and other departments lack what it takes to run a successful company. No recognition or respect. They are always looking for people in accounting because that department is run by leadership who do not care for their employees and they are more focused on their own success.

Pros

Excellent Work-Life Balance - Management as a whole is communicative and not rigid when it comes to needing varying time off or flexibility with schedule. Remote/ Hybrid Working - This is a commodity and I would also list it as a benefit of working with the company. Stability - Going back through the history of the company they have done minimal to no downsizing, which is increasingly rare in the economic rollercoaster today. Senior Leadership - I've had the opportunity to speak with many of the executive leaders and each are extremely personable and easy to reach. They are transparent with their decision making and have found a balance of looking out for clients as well as listening to the employees.

Cons

As it is a smaller company, there isn't significant room for vertical growth. However, there are still ways to expand skillsets and earn more. Operational Changes - Changes/ improvements to internal operations are frequent and "fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants" many times. This can be good and bad, but requires a lot of adapting. There is also a push now for more in-office days. While this comes from a positive place to build up the work culture, it makes it difficult for the HQ employees as there is limited space.
