Pros

Benefits and mileage checks are good.

Cons

Working for Somatus is terrifying. There have been several rounds of layoffs without communication. On 5/21, our team logged in to find out we lost a major contract which employed over 400 people across multiple states. During this time, we were given busy work helping other contracts clean up their overdue activities. On 5/29, upper management held a meeting talking about our accomplishments assisting those other contracts. However, it was heavily focused on our productivity. Many of us were offended that they were tracking productivity for a group of people who were afraid they were being laid off after being given temporary assignments that didn't last the entire day. On top of that, the same assignments were assigned to multiple teams and staff was stealing each other's work to look more productive because we were also told those who were most productive were most likely to keep their jobs. Then, there were screenshots of a Teams message from a manager floating around stating there was a new CEO. Instead of confirming it, a few managers tried to find out the source. Later, it was discovered there were private chats of disgruntled workers, among other things, disparaging some managers lack of communication as opposed to others offering increased support and transparency. A few managers required the team members to close those chats and "warned" staff HR could be requested to review all their Teams communications if it continued. On 6/5, our managers were told to inform us the contract issues had been addressed and we'd continue services, but there wasn't an anticipated start date for those patients. Then, on 6/9, a town hall was scheduled to announce the new CEO. But the "live" town hall meeting was hosted as a webcast, when usually it's done through Zoom where we are allowed to ask questions live and see the Somatus leadership team. Many of us believe the meeting was pre-recorded. None of the questions any of us submitted to the website to be answered "live" were answered. The meeting didn't even address the lost contract and the stress of being in limbo about our employment status or when we'd start the new contract. As of today, 7/14, we still don't have a start date for the contract and are still completing busy work, calling the same patients repeatedly.

Pros

Literally just the mileage checks.

Cons

Constant layoffs, 3 since I’ve been here for 2 years. Mangement doesn’t care about you or your home life. They want metrics and numbers. You harass people all day even when they’ve declined to verify hipaa and services. They have a whole department for these calls yet leave it to the PHAs on top of their daily work. Even when members say no, they make you harass them again in a few months so they can decline again, leading to getting cussed out and abused by these members. They have no communication with procedure changes and policies. They change every week. You find out until you’re audited. They assign you new regions or other people regions without notice. You go from a manageable panel to a ridiculous amount of patients and they still want you to travel 5/10x a week.
