Pros

Sony has plenty of interesting products to work with. It has multiple divisions to keep a new employee interested. Sony is an impressive name

Cons

Poor management, decision-making is puzzling.. It is a company on its 3rd CEO in 6 years. You only see that type of change when a company's CEO gets in legal trouble. These leaders were canned because of poor performance. It is a HIGHLY silohed company. It has a Music Division, TV Division, Gaming Division, Computer Division, Electronics... and none of them work comfortably together. There should be many projects combining hardware/software, movies/music etc.. plus an infrastructure to support all of that content. People should be lined up to purchase the next Sony product because it works with their PlayStation Console.. TV... VAIO... Camera... Audio Deck etc.. You know.. like they do when Apple releases a product.. But these divisions want nothing to do with one another.. The last CEO had to force cooperation between the groups and they hated him for it.. Speaking of Apple.. Sony constantly talks about competing with this company but they don't have the innovative thinkers like the Cupertino Giant. This company is a perfect example of creating devices that utilize ALL of its resources (deals with Music and Movie companies, etc). Each device is developed to work seamlessly with other devices and its content. As much as I hate having to use iTunes to push and pull content, it is their way of managing their content. To put it simply, Apple has over 750 Billion sitting in a bank and Sony is firing 10,000 people... A good idea has to bubble-up through these worthless leaders. There is no nimble way to think of a killer product of service and have it in the hands of a decision-maker. It takes forever and gets added too and/or stripped down to a point you don't even recognize your own idea when a team finally gets put on it. When it fails... You guessed it, you get the evil-eye from everyone which essentially means that you get the passive-aggressive treatment.. No one tells you why you are being reassigned to do work that you can teach a 12-year old to do... It just happens..
