Pros

Working at the previous Sony Style store was a good job for college students because of the flexible retail hours. Great coworkers and some great managers.

Cons

Pay is stupid low. Like many electronic stores, commission is where you make your money. But if you aren't that great of a salesperson but more of operations.. as in getting the store ready with visual tasks, keeping price tags up to date, etc.. you are still below the totem pole. If you are a salesperson who sells like a snake and make your numbers even though your process is unethical (giving random discounts for no reason, promises of extra items, free trade in even past the return policy), you'll receive a larger pay raise than someone who actually runs the stores operations. Makes no sense because without the up to date operation tasks.. you wouldn't be able to sell anything correctly! Also.. no room for advancement outside the Sony retail division unless you brown nose your way to corporate management.
