Pros

The only reason to work at Sound is if you cannot find a job anywhere else. They are always hiring. (red flag)

Cons

They have no logical organization structure. This is because they do not give a crap about the physicians' experience. The entire chain of command is orchestrated to make big money, and put on a fake façade of being legitimate. They are very crooked. They have had Whistleblower lawsuits for patterns of upcoding insurances, yet they take hours and several computer classes to "train" you how to upcode. If you see a patient who is not complicated, and should be coded a 2, they will teach you how to turn an everyday visit into an extraordinary visit, and code it a level 3. You won't ever see a bonus unless you are coding level 3s. They start off getting your juices flowing by setting a reasonable RVU, then once everyone is on the team, they increase the amount of RVUs you need for a bonus, and they will increase the volume of patients you will see. Therefore, you now are working twice as hard for less money. You will be stuck too, because if you try to break the contract, you have to pay back malpractice tail and the signing bonus. That means you will not take home a paycheck the last month you are there, and likely not take a paycheck at your next job for a few weeks. The managers are a true joke. They are not a better doctor than you, they just are sleazy too. Some are sleeping with the higher level bosses. Some are just disgusting people with no soul, who laugh at the game you are a pawn in. They will never address any issues except to manipulate a problem into a solution that works for some pre-desired result they have already had in mind. If you have a psychopath on the team, he/she will be your problem to deal with, your manager will get a great laugh behind the scenes though! If the psychopath manipulates and lies to dump ER admissions onto you, the manager will just threaten to fire you if you refuse to take a patient. See, they do not care about how the organization is running, only about the stream of cash into their bank account.

Pros

work from home, smaller business, personable nurse manager

Cons

lack of training, then they blame you for not meeting training standards. For example only able to train odd hours that didnt work for me, then complained it took to long when i only trained 2 hours every other week. Of course it takes 2 months to train when only trained 1-2 hours every other week When I applied I said I had OB expierence but 30 weeks and under, then later complained I didnt know labor calls well enough. Most of calls were OB but it was advice for all areas and I KNOW triage and advice very well and would have been great assest to them Another MAJOR con is the pay. My other job paid 2.5 times more so of course they had priority when I trained, so if ya want to pay more, I would have trained any hours open first, but otherwise you are last on my list. Other call jobs pay the same and dont require you to be a RN, for example southwest airlines call agents etc . Anyway their loss
