Pros
Employee discounts on apartments, health insurance is great, upper management support, growth opportunities and company events.
Cons
There are A LOT of different Platforms to deal with on a daily basis, excessive reporting, Holidays given are not guaranteed even if they are listed in the SOP as a Federal Holiday given. They are contingent on occupancy trend. SOM prides themselves on being charitable and giving (and they are), however employees can sometimes feel Brow Beaten if their community isn't doing as well as others which most of the time is beyond their control, such as pricing structures. They are short term goal oriented rather than playing the long game to secure future investment. They don't seem to want to put money into their older properties and focus more on new construction and new acquired properties.
